Alva Industries Launches New Online Torque Motor Selector Tool

November 26, 2024

Trondheim, Norway – 26 November 2024 – Alva Industries (Alva), a manufacturer of frameless motors and owner and creator of FiberPrinting™ technology, has today announced the release of a new online product selector tool for its SlimTorq™ Lite and Max series of slotless precision torque motors.

SlimTorq™ motors provide the ultimate combination of power, size, and precision, ideal for countless applications. SlimTorq™ units are available in a variety of sizes and configuration options as standard and manufactured using the company’s FiberPrinting™ technology.

FiberPrinting™ is a groundbreaking production technology which enables ironless and slotless motor windings with up to 60% copper fill factor, setting a new standard in precision, torque density and adaptability. It also enables rapid product development of motors of almost any shape or size.

With the product selector, engineers can input their mechanical, drive and performance requirements including size, weight, supply voltage, temperature, continuous and peak torque, and speed, and the selector instantly recommends the best fit motor option.

“We understand that each application has a unique set of requirements in terms of motor specification,” said Nicolas Giraudo, CCO at Alva Industries. “We’re pleased to launch this new functionality that enables engineers to quickly find the right motor to test for their project. If the selected motor is not the perfect fit yet, FiberPrinting™ allows for quick customization and full flexibility”
